Student Forum access

A student can view all forum topics, post new topics and add replies to an already existing topics.

To access Forum as a Students, follow these steps below:

  1. Go to the website

  2. Navigate to the website footer

  3. Select the ‘Forum’ menu

  4. Filter by category or tag to find the topic you are looking for

  5. Click on the topic name to see all replies on that topic

  6. You can also add your replies here as a student or anonymously

Let’s take a deeper look to understand the functions and filters of CourseCo’s Forum

Understanding Filter options

1. All Categories

You can select a category to:

  • See a breakdown of the categories

  • View how many are there topics in that category

  • select the category to view the topics and replies

2. Filter by Tag & Category

You can filter by tag or category to see results based on your selection only

3. Filter by Latest

You can filter your view by latest results and here you can see the most up to date topics and replies.

Adding a topic as a Student

As a logged-in student, you can post a topic as yourself or you have the option to anonymise your posted topic.

Admin will be able to see the name of the anonymised poster.

Students can add a topic and assign applicable categories and tags

The student will receive email alerts when admin, trainers or fellow students reply to their topic

To add a topic, please follow these steps:

  1. Log In as a student

  2. Go to the website footer and click on Forum

  3. In the Forum list page, click on the ‘Add Topic’ button on the right side of the page

  4. You will be redirected to ‘Topic Page’. In the topic page:

    1. Input the title for your Topic

    2. Choose a category for your Topic from the dropdown

    3. Select the relevant tags from the dropdown and Click on ‘ADD’ button

    4. Input your description about the topic. This can be the questions you want to raise.

  5. Click Save Button

Note: IF there’s an existing topic related to what you will post, you will see them in the ‘Related Post’ section so that you do not create duplicate topics as Students.

Outcome: You will be redirected to your posted topic page where students can see your questions.

Adding a reply as a Student

To add a reply to an existing topic, please see the steps below:

  1. Log In as a student

  2. In the topic list page, select the topic title you want to add a reply to

  3. In the topic description page, Click on “Reply' button

  4. In the text editor presented, input your reply

  5. Click Save button

Outcome: Your reply will be posted with your name and other students and admins can view it

To go back to Forum list page, Click on ‘Back to Forum’ button

Adding an Anonymous Reply as a Student

As a student, you can choose to post a reply anonymously if you don’t wish to reveal your name. To post a reply anonymously, follow these steps:

  1. Log In as a Student

  2. In the topic list page, select the topic title you want to add a reply to

  3. In the topic description page, Click on “Reply' button

  4. In the text editor presented, input your reply

  5. Turn ON the toggle for ‘Hide My Name’

If you leave ‘Hide My Name’ toggle OFF, other students and admin can see your name on reply posted.

6. Click Save button

Outcome: Your reply will be posted without your name and other students and admins can view your reply.

Note: Admins can see your name when posted anonymously. Other students cannot view your name if posted anonymously
